Thank you so much for conducting such a lovely service for my Mum yesterday. I had no idea that I could “enjoy” a funeral before, particularly my Mum’s, but somehow yesterday I felt calm and enjoyed listening to you talk about her. Your calm, collected presence put everyone at ease and many people complimented me afterwards on how well you had led the service. It felt like a real “life celebration” and my brother and my Dad were both extremely relieved and happy with how it went. My brother even said it could not have been better, it was just perfect. (He has been a hard one to please so I’m so thankful!) My Mum’s friends all said she would have enjoyed it too.

Only six months ago you did the same for our dad, and when our mum passed away, we knew we wanted you again to conduct the service.
We think we said before you have have a wonderful knack of getting us to talk to you, bringing back some wonderful memories.
A lot of people told us it was a wonderful upbeat service just perfect to celebrate the life of someone who loved and embraced life, and who was loved by many.

Andrea I would like to thank you for the perfect service that you conducted for my Mum Esther, it was beautiful, funny and sincere and after the service I received lots of comments from family and friends saying how much they had learnt about my Mum but also how good you were. You spent alot of time with me getting to know my Mum and her family and I didn’t feel rushed at all, this made me remember things I had forgotten which brought back some really fond memories. By the end of our meeting a really felt I had been talking to a good friend which was lovely.
You have a real empathy and warmth which for me is a must.

Many people have commented on the service and how true it was to character and saying it was a lovely service. We have known Andrea for a number of years not only as Registrar but as a friend through the Rotary Club of Ilkeston. Recently we celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary and Andrea very kindly offered to come along at the start of our celebration to renew our vows with, and to the surprise of, our family and close friends present.
Andrea had prepared a lovely short ceremony which we had been able to personalise prior to the event and was very moving for everyone present. It certainly put the finishing touches to our celebration.
We wish Andrea every success for the future. She is a lovely warm and kind person who shows compassion, has a genuine interest in the people she meets and takes pride in her work. Andrea will be a perfect celebrant.
I have known Andrea for many years. She is efficient and empathetic. She has the perfect personality to be a celebrant. You will be in very safe and caring hands for your ideal service.
