Renewal of Vows:
This kind of ceremony is often arranged to celebrate a wedding anniversary, but some people choose to renew their vows if they have come through a hard time and want to emphasise the positives in their life, if they want a more lavish celebration than they had for their marriage or if they married abroad and would like family and friends to share in a celebration.
The ceremony can take place at your own home or in a venue or function room you have chosen – or outdoors even! You can write your own ceremony but I do have templates for a renewal ceremony that you can use as a starting point for your own individual ceremony, which you can then personalise to reflect your requirements. I will produce a commemorative certificate for you as a reminder of the day.
Baby Naming
The arrival of a new family member is an extremely important event and a cause for great celebration. In the past people went to church for a christening or baptism, but if you do not want a church service I can conduct a naming ceremony for you in your own home or at a venue you have chosen. I have a draft ceremony that you can edit to suit your wishes. You can involve family members or friends in the ceremony, either to do readings or to stand as sponsors (similar to godparents in religious ceremonies). You will be given a commemorative certificate which shows parents’ and sponsors’ names as well as the child’s name.
